Directors and staff of the Ministry of Railways Development on Friday 16th March, 2018 embarked on a clean-up exercise around their office premises. This follows a directive from the Chief of Staff Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare asking all Ministries, Departments and Agencies to undertake a clean-up exercise in and around their places of work in order to achieve the President’s Vision to make Accra the cleanest city in Africa.
The workers cleaned their immediate environs and cleared the chocked drains. They applauded government for the initiative and urged that the exercise be carried out annually.
Staff of other adjourning Ministries, the Ministry of Works and Housing Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Public Works Department (PWD) all took part in the Clean-up exercise.
The exercise which started at 8am ended at 10am.
